Hey guys. Hope all is well with everyone. We’ve been busy wrapping up yet another school year over here. I have no idea how this is possible already, but here we are. Even my kids feel this school year flew by which isn’t usually the case.
So today I’m sharing a look I wore while in Palm Springs that is very much my jam. You may remember me wearing this floral number here as a wrap dress. But for this look I chose to leave it unwrapped in kimono form.
For one, it’s fun to be able to transform our clothing in new ways. And two, the bold black and white floral just really elevates the basic black tee and denim shorts perfectly for a relaxed summer look. Which btw wrap dresses are also a perfect option for swimsuit cover ups as well. Throw on a sunhat and flip flops and viola!
*You can easily tuck the wrap ties inside via a loose knot if desired, but I just let them blow in the desert wind.
Speaking of desert, isn’t this a cool desert vibe going on with the splash of pink from the Desert X structure? I love how the texture on the structure complimented the rugged ambiance.
This was my first time to shoot at sunset and I LOVE how the sky turned out in the photos. If you watch sunsets then you know they happen quickly. So each shot captures a different phase of the sunsets process. It just really tied the whole scene together beautifully.
Some shots were taken with my iPhone and some were taken with my Sony. I feel the iPhone captured the sunsets and the Sony captured the textures in the wall.
My wrap dress was from the Who What Wear Collection at Target a few years back and unfortunately is no longer available. But I have linked a few wrap dresses below that would be great options as a kimono.
I’ve also linked similar pieces I paired with my dress to complete a similar look.
