I think it is safe to say based on my last few blog posts I am excited for spring. It’s always a toss up on whether spring or fall is my favorite. However once my spring fever hits it is hard to deny my strong need for natures magical way of introducing new life. It fuels me like no other.
During the spring and summer months dresses are by far my favorite to wear. They are easy, feminine, and in today’s world come in all shapes, sizes, and textures. Now I generally opt for loose fitted clothing (I always have). Give me a big baggy sweater or moo moo and I’m one happy (and cozy) gal. So today’s look encompasses a typical spring look for me.
A midi dress with a big baggy oversized sweater.
My dress was a rare eBay vintage find that truly is one of my favorite thrifted pieces to date. It is an import straight from Italy made of pure silk with patches of floral in the most beautiful collection of colors. Coming from a place of trying to incorporate more color in my day to day style. I love how adding the olive green from the sweater contributed yet another element to the already broad color palette in the dress. All while feeling like the color pairing was meant to be all along. Love it when that happens.
Footwear options could very easily vary for this look by swapping the boots for a sneaker, mule, or sandal. However since I’m still on my sock bootie kick it only felt right to continue. My bag is an oldie but goodie by Nine West. But I did find a similar and affordable option here if that is something you are in the market for. It’s even on my own wishlist.
