Unexpected Fall Foliage Thanksgiving Getaway

4 December 2018

Places to visit in Texas, travel, fall leaves, San Antonio Riverwalk

This year for the weekend following Thanksgiving Day we decided to take a little family trip to San Antonio. We have visited there many times for their endless family friendly options. But we wanted to explore in the less than scorching hot weather we usually deal with during their summer months. And what an unexpected fall foliage beautiful surprise it was.

Mind you Houston is only 3 hours away and our trees were no where near the fall scene San Antonio had going on. I was in so much awe with our surroundings and was caught snapping photos left and right. The weather was perfection and the scenery along the riverwalk was breathtaking. So today’s post is simply a photo gallery highlighting some of our adventures, sightings, and such. I hope you enjoy.

P.S. I added video footage from our adventure to the highlights section in my Insta-Stories incase you missed them real-time.

You got some beautiful shots of fall trees and family. Looks like you had a wonderful time. Don’t know if I’ve ever seen the back end of a zebra…lol! Thanks for sharing. Love Mom.
