This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending a lovely brunch at La Table Houston. The gathering was a birthday celebration in honor of my friend and blogging mentor Dawn P. Darnell. Let’s just say the experience was exactly what this stay at home momma (SAHM) needed. It was an afternoon filled with wonderful ladies (bloggers and sorority sisters), exquisite fine dining, and beautiful scenic surroundings.
This was the cute welcome note we were greeted with on our table from La Table Houston.
Of the several dining room options available we brunched outdoors on patio Marche.
So since I’ve started blogging earlier this year my brunching opportunities have definitely stepped up a notch. Like from NEVER brunching to pretty much brunching every weekend. Supposedly it’s a “blogger” thing. 😉 So going from coffee only breakfasts to dining it up with full blown course meals in the a.m. has been an adjustment to say the least. But this momma is not sad over it by any means. It’s part of the job, right?? 🙂 Although I think the hubby is now considering a men’s breakfast club in his near future. He might even start a blog just for the foodie perk alone. 😉
Here are a few of the tasty bites we were served from their new spring brunch menu:
Are you hungry now? 🙂 Now I must say, La Table Houston has been my favorite brunch experience thus far. The French Chateaux vibe is totally my scene. LOVE IT! Between the blue accent décor, boxwood greenery, bakery, bar, and impressive book collection display, there is plenty to please the eye during your visit.
For the gathering, I chose to wear a beautiful floral wrap maxi dress from the latest Who What Wear Collection. It is one of my newest pieces and I couldn’t be happier with it. It was the perfect dress for the occasion. From the beautiful black and white floral print, to the flutter sleeves, to the flowing high-low hemline, this piece is a stunner. Not to mention the super comfy material and ever so flattering silhouette that a wrap dress brings to every physique. I have linked the exact dress at the bottom of this post.
As I mentioned in this look, I occasionally like to throw in a little edge and pop of color with more feminine pieces. My accessories took those roles in this ensemble by pairing the dress with an edgy heel and a petite blue cobalt cross body. My earrings are an oldie but goodie so we will categorize that in the vintage spot. 🙂 Plus I have been obsessing over big earrings lately and this white cascading chandelier design meets that criteria with no question. They might resemble humongous elephant ears on each side of my head, but that’s ok! They are pretty elephant ears! 😉
These two beauty bloggers Dawn and Silvia have been a complete joy getting to know over the last few months. Their friendship and mentorship through my blogging journey has been a blessing in so many ways. Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart. xo
Now I “may” have secretly hoped for a Marylin Monroe photo moment in this flowy little number and thankfully Mother Nature came through with crazy winds for the photo. 😉
These lovely ladies were my company. One of my favorite things about my blogging journey has been getting to know other fellow bloggers.
My afternoon at La Table Houston was definitely a lovely moment to remember.
Any of you ever visited La Table Houston? If so, what was your dining atmosphere of choice (café/bakery, bar, dining room or patio)? Was there anything from the menu that is a must try? Where are your favorite places to brunch? I would love to hear.
Thank you so much for visiting Textures of Grace. Many blessings your way. xo
