Happy Spring everyone!! 🙂 I couldn’t be more thrilled about the season change. Our family enjoyed a nice breather this past week during spring break. It was so nice. I’m now feeling refreshed and ready to tackle some to-do’s. Including the lingering task I shared here.
Spring is definitely one of my favorite seasons (aside from fall). It sparks this strong desire to be outside, plant flowers, grow a vegetable garden, cook fresh meals, go for walks, have picnics. Let’s just say my Pinterest has been in overdrive with domestic inspiring pins lately. Let’s hope some of those pins turn into reality. 😉
As far as spring attire goes, I am all about comfy dresses and skirts this time of year. As a SAHM and housewife for the past 10 years opportunities to “dress-up” are scarce. Throwing on a casual dress or skirt helps me feel feminine and put together without really trying. Yet still allows me to function in most of my daily duties comfortably without wardrobe malfunction or limitations. This stripe t-shirt dress has been my go-to lately. I throw on these cute sneakers and I’m good to go with my day.
Now let’s talk stripes for a brief moment shall we? Stripes in my opinion are soooo powerful! Based on it’s directional design they provide us with a sense of direction. Makes sense, right? At first glance our eyes are usually drawn straight to the stripes in a look, but interestingly enough the illusion stripes provide immediately merges our view to the ensemble as a whole. In other words, stripes are a great team player. They may stand out as the team leader at times, but they are so good at sharing the stage and bringing everything together in a blended cohesive fashion. Powerful right??
Speaking of team players, since I have launched my blog this past December I have been so moved by the sense of community within my journey. We all have our own direction and goals, but behind the scenes the support for one another’s visions is so empowering. The blogging community has been an amazing team to share this stage we planted on. Thank you all for your continued support. I am so grateful we met.
So what are your go-to pieces during the spring? Are there any comfy chic dresses I need to know about? I would love to hear about them in the comments. As always I appreciate you stopping by and look forward to our next visit. Blessings your way.
